The Strategy and Innovation World Forum took place in London earlier this month. The event had talks and panels from industry experts, discussing the current and controversial issues for the industry.
Natalie Hughes, Director of Brand and Innovation, sat on a panel discussing Iconic Brands. The panel debated what "iconic" actually means in real terms, discussed case studies and identified the traits of an iconic brand.
Why do brands want to innovate? If it's just to make money it won't work. Brands should be asking; “what's the value of this for people” and “why are we doing it?" - Natalie Hughes
Natalie was joined by other experts on the panel, including; Danielle Atkins, VP, Brand and Marketing at Kodak, Angela Everitt, Director of Creative Strategy at The Economist, Deborah Mills, Chief Strategy officer at Saatchi & Saatchi and Andrej Kawalec, CTO Head of Strategy and Innovation at Vodafone. Cyrus Saihan, Head of Digital Partnerships at the BBC, chaired the panel.
